Dental Implant FAQs

It’s highly suggested you replace your missing teeth. Missing teeth can lead to numerous problems such as bone loss, and it can also make your facial features appear sunken. It will also be difficult to chew, and if you’re avoiding eating certain food, it could negatively impact your overall health.
Dental implants are the closest you can get to having natural teeth. They look, feel, and function almost exactly the same way, allowing you to live your life as if you never lost your teeth in the first place.
Yes! Dental implants placed by Dr. Senft have a 95 percent success rate!
Dental implant procedures differ from patient to patient, so that means the cost will too. More complex treatments with multiple teeth, necessary bone grafts, infection, or tooth extractions will cost more than just placing an implant.
We can replace just one tooth or an entire arch! If you need a full arch, we can replace all your teeth with implants, or we can replace a minimum of two, then use those implants to anchor a denture or bridge.
Most likely! If you are in good health and do not have gum disease or infection, we should be able to get you the smile you want!
Yes! Bone grafting and sinus lift procedures are options for people who do not have enough bone to support implants.
Many dentists with implant training can assist you, but if you want the best care with the best technology, Dr. Senft has years of training and experience. He also uses the nSequence® implant software for incredible precision.
Many patients who are treated by Dr. Senft have reported barely feeling anything during the procedure. If you are still concerned, IV sedation can be administered.

The first step before your implants are placed is to take X-rays. This lets us know if your jaw can support implants. We then create a computer guide using impressions before using it to guide Dr. Senft during surgery.

Although very unlikely, if you experience pain or bleeding, or if the implant is visible, you should come back to see us. We also treat patients who are unhappy with implants placed elsewhere.
When you come to South Florida Sedation Dentistry, your implants should last for many years.
You care for your implants just like you’d care for your natural teeth – by brushing at least twice a day and flossing! Also make sure to come in for regular cleanings at our office.
